To reach the top we stand on the books we read.

Books can teach you things that most of the people out there will never know as so many are too lazy to read. Don´t waste this opportunity to get over the mental power of the crowd.

There is no limit on learning. Teach yourself about advertising, making money or something completely different like playing an instrument or quantum physics. There are no limits. Only you can hold yourself back.

How to read books properly!

I highly recommend rewinding everything after you finished a chapter. Also, try to quickly review the last parts you read after a break.

Read a book more than one time.

Use the tips and tricks you learn in a book as soon as possible, or you won’t do it at all.

Use a piece of paper as reading mark so you can write down important passages as fast as possible. Use a pattern like this:

Page and the position on the paper (top, mid, bottom)

  thing of interest

  importants (from ! to !!!!!)

 and maybe archive it somewhere.

Tip:

If you are not into reading try audiobooks. So you can listen to your books everywhere. Also very good if you want to get a high dose of knowledge into your brain in a shorter time span.

Relentless

You wanna exceed the level you´re currently in. Get best, fastest, strongest. Then you should get an insight of how successful athletes set their minds. Now you will ask yourself, why would I want to know how famous sportsmen got where they are now? I´m not interested in sport superstars. I thought absolutely the same when I first saw the book. But then I started reading and like a lot of books on this page, you can apply the content to any aspect of life. The willpower of an outstanding basketball player for example, can lead you to anything you want. The author, Tim S. Grover is also very good at motivating. Ignition!

I am personally very interested in chemistry and space travel and this book is maybe the best suiting book for both interests. The rocket fuel history is one with a lot of explosions and dangerous materials. Little mistakes can be very dangerous in this business. Still the author’s slight humorous style of writing gives this theme a funnier atmosphere. However, I wouldn´t recommend it for people who are interested in rocketry in general but don´t like chemistry. The main content of the book is the research of new fuels and oxidizers for rockets and because there is always some sort of stability or freezing point problem with these substances the book also includes the additive research. From the beginnings of the rocket propellants to the today used once and some forecasts on this theme, everything is described in this book.

My favourite quote of “Ignition!” by John D. Clark:

“By the nature of research more tests are going to fail than are going to succeed.”

Information about the author John D. Clark:
  • Rocket fuel developer
  • Chemist
  • Writer of science fiction books

Way of the Wolf

Do you want to say you got trained in selling by the Wolf of the wall street? You can learn the art of influencing people and get them to buy your product. Jordan Belfort describes his system: the straight line selling. From how to get yourself in the right mood for a sales conversation all the way to the perfect tonality for every sentence you say. It´s worth knowing 91% of the person-to-person communication is nonverbal. That means body language, tonalities and expressions are essential. What I like the most about his system is that so much things have this good enough factor, which means most tips can be very effective even if you are a bloody beginner. By the way there is a perfect example of a sales talk on YouTube, where Jordan used everything he mentioned in this book.

My favourite quote of “Way of the Wolf” by Jordan Belfort:

“Success in the absence of ethics and integrity is not success at all.”

Information about the author Jordan Belfort:
  • Started selling Italian ice as a kid
  • Former door to door meat and seafood seller
